Malls extend hours for last minute shoppers

It is the last weekend before Christmas, and according to consumer reports, two-thirds of all Americans still have shopping to do; that's 132-million people who are still shopping.

It was very crowded at area malls, many of them with extended hours to give shoppers extra time to finish their holiday shopping.

And lots of people were taking advantage of it.

A sea of shoppers roamed the mall looking to find those last minute gifts to place under the tree.

Most say the sales were decent, but some stores were already picked over.

Despite the stress of wrapping up the holiday to-do list, many shoppers were jolly in spirit, but say the hardest part about shopping Saturday night was finding a parking space.

"The parking lot alone was a trip because you had to literally follow someone to their car or wait for a parking space," said Nina Streets.

Like the shoppers looking for last minute gifts, children took advantage of getting one more visit with Santa before the big day.
