Flames broke out in the basement of the structure at noon Friday along the 3400 Spruce Street.
There were initial reports of a smoky situation and evacuations at the facility.
A hospital spokesperson tells Action News the fire was related to ongoing construction.
The spokesperson said firefighters put out the flames and no extended evacuations were necessary.
No one was injured.
