Officials say child pornography was found on the home computer of 65-year-old Richard Perkins Smith of Media.
He is in custody in Massachusetts, awaiting trial on child sex abuse charges.
On Tuesday night, Chris Denny, a former roommate of Smith's, says he's shocked to hear the allegations
"I like everything that he did for me, to help me at finding a job and everything, but I'm disgusted by what he did," Denny said.
Smith worked at Episcopal's Devon campus from 1970 until 1998.
