The fire broke out shortly before 8:00 a.m. inside a row home on the 1400 block of North 57th Street.
Crews arrived to flames and began dousing the blaze with water.
The fire was placed under control within minutes.
Firefighters remained on the scene to check for hot spots.
So far, no reports of any injuries or word on what sparked the blaze.
