Woman tortured in Oxford Circle home invasion

OXFORD CIRCLE - November 9, 2013

It happened around 7:00 p.m. Friday evening on the 1500 block of Rosalie Street.

Authorities say a 28-year-old woman, her two children, her mother and an electrician were all inside the home at the time.

According to police, the suspects barged in through a back door.

A brief struggle ensued and one of the men struck the electrician several times with a gun.

Authorities say both men tied up the adults and demanded money.

After denying having any money, the 28-year-old woman was burned several times with a knife heated by the kitchen stove.

The suspects were able to get away with approximately $3,800 in cash before they fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The 28-year-old victim suffered burns and the electrician suffered cuts to the back of the head. Both refused medical treatment.

Both suspects are described as 25-30 years old.

One of them is believed to be 5'10"-6'0", 170-180 pounds with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black and gray jeans and white sneakers with blue soles.

The second suspect is described as 5'8", 150-170 pounds, with a brown skinned complexion. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, a black mask, black gloves and armed with a semiautomatic handgun.
