Last Superstorm Sandy cat has a new home

NEW YORK (AP) - November 14, 2013

Joy the kitty has been adopted by a fellow hurricane survivor.

The cat was the last of nearly 300 animals that wound up in an ASPCA shelter following the storm.

She's now living with Robert Curran.

He lost his home and family business during the storm.

Curran says he reached out to the ASPCA after an Associated Press report about the effort to find a permanent home for the little white cat.

They're now living in Brooklyn.

Curran says he and Joy have a lot in common.
