It happened at 6:30 a.m. on the boulevard at 9th Street in the Logan section of Philadelphia.
Authorities say 3 vehicles collided and a van burst into flames.
Images from Sky6 and Chopper 6 HD showed a fiery scene and extensive traffic backups in the area.
One person was injured. There was no immediate word on that person's condition.
