It was 8:30 a.m. on October 30th when the 23-year-old victim boarded the train. The train was heading in the direction of 69th Street when the victim says he noticed the suspect started acting suspicious.
As the train was approaching the Berks Street Station, the suspect stepped toward the victim and started punching him in the face, demanding his cell phone. Other passengers managed to intervene, prompting the suspect to flee empty-handed as the doors opened at the station.
The victim suffered a cut lip and swelling to his face from the attack.
The suspect is described as a black male, standing 5'11", dark complexion, slim build, with a beard, wearing a two tone gray jacket, with tan corduroy pants, black/gray Nike sneakers and a black skull cap.
