You've heard of Black Friday, how about Giving Tuesday?

December 3, 2013

It was a record-breaking Cyber-Monday. Analysts say Monday's online sales were up nearly 19-percent from last year.

More than 131 million people clicked their way through their gift lists on Cyber-Monday.

And this year, more and more people are shopping on the go. Mobile traffic accounted for 30-percent of total site visits, and made this cyber Monday the biggest online shopping day in history.

Monday was also the busiest day in Federal Express' history. The company moved an estimated 22-million parcels around the world.

You've now heard of Brown Thursday, Black Friday, and Cyber-Monday, but how about Giving Tuesday?

It's a new nationwide movement to make the Tuesday after Thanksgiving a national day for giving back.

Thousands of individuals and groups are joining to create #givingTuesday, and they want everyone to get involved.

Just give and share about how you're giving for a national celebration of generosity.

There is something new on the menu at Applebee's.

The chain is planning to install 100,000 tablet computers in its restaurants; one at every table!

Applebee's hopes to have the tablets in place at all its U.S. restaurants by the end of 2014.

Customers will be able to use the tablets to order appetizers and desserts, pay for their meals and even play video games.

Some Applebee's already have the table tablets.

Chili's restaurants are reportedly jumping on the tech trend, too.

IHOP is apparently looking into doing the same thing as well.
