The stage production revolves around two of I Love Lucy's most iconic episodes: 'The Benefit' and 'Lucy Gets Her Eyes Examined.' "It preserves the great comedy, the timing, the music of Ricky and his band," says Wolf, "You get to go back. You get to be part of one of the greatest TV shows of all time with one of the greatest entertainers of all time."
And, unlike the black and white re-runs still airing today, Wolf says the show allows you to experience I Love Lucy in color. "The great thing about I love Lucy is the comedy is physical. It's exciting. It's funny and it's the type of show that everyone can come to."
I Love Lucy will be at the Merriam Theatre for 8 performances starting the day after Christmas through December 29th. For tickets and show times, go to www.TheArtsinphilly.org.
