The attorney general's office said Friday that the operator of D&D dealership in Old Bridge allegedly conspired with others to create fraudulent titles for storm-damaged vehicles.
A State Motor Vehicle Commission technician and two employees of the dealership were previously charged in the alleged criminal scheme.
A woman who answered the phone at the dealership said they had no comment.
Prosecutors say from February through July, the defendants allegedly acquired eight storm-damaged vehicles that were auctioned by an insurance company for parts only.
Hoffman says the defendants allegedly had fake titles issued for the vehicles, and sold them to unsuspecting customers.
