Couple busted with bundles of heroin, cash

CLAYMONT, Del. - January 7, 2014

23-year-old Martin Green and 22-year-old Jaquelle Baise, both of the 300 block of Earhart Court in Claymont, are facing drug related offenses following an investigation by the New Castle County Safe Streets Task Force.

Authorities responded to the Stoneybrook Apartment Complex where they took Green and Baise into custody.

During his arrest 67 bags of heroin were discovered in the clothing worn by Green. 255 bags of heroin were then found inside his vehicle along with money.

A search of the Green and Baise's residence revealed an additional 1,311 bags of heroin as well as 0.8 grams of marijuana.

The total number of heroin bags seized by police was 1,633 for a total weight of 32.66 grams. Officers also located and seized $11,219 of suspected drug money.

Green is charged with driving while suspended or revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy in the second degree, possesses a controlled substance in a Tier V quantity, and manufactures, delivers or possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Baise is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy in the second degree, maintaining a drug property, manufactures delivers or possess with intent to delivers a controlled substance.
