Dwindling salt, sagging roofs as snow falls in Pa.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - February 15, 2014 An inch of new snow had fallen by mid-day in much of eastern Pennsylvania on Saturday. Forecasters predicted 2 to 5 inches before evening.

Chuck Lantzman of Snow and Ice Management in Pittsburgh tells WTAV-TV (http://bit.ly/M2vphS ) the price of salt is skyrocketing because it's now being trucked in from Virginia, rather than being delivered by barge and train from upstate New York.

On the other side of Pennsylvania, WFMZ-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1lSKwb7 ) that a roof is sagging under heavy snow accumulation at Amazon.com's warehouse near Allentown. Amazon says it's closed the building for the day.

In Lancaster, WGAL-TV remained unable to broadcast after a portion of its station roof collapsed Friday.
