Christie says NJ's many snow days will be made up

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - February 26, 2014

On his radio call-in show Wednesday evening on TownSqure Media, Christie said his three school-age kids have lobbied him to waive the requirement so they won't have to make up days this spring or summer.

He told a caller, "There's a 180 days school requirement and I'm not waiving it."

Many districts across the state have had five or more snow days so far this school year. Some shortened a recent winter break. Some are shortening spring break or extending the end of the school year.
