Restaurateur Stephen Starr is launching a new push to raise money for Philadelphia schools.

Starr along with Philadelphia School District Superintendent Doctor William Hite announced the fundraiser at Parc Restaurant in Center city Tuesday morning.

Starr said he thought of the idea after Mayor Nutter asked the business community to support city schools.

Starting today, every bill at Starr's restaurants will offer customers the opportunity to make a donation to the Philadelphia School District.

Starr hopes to raise $100,000 over the next four weeks.
