Man arrested after Philadelphia police crash, chase ID'd

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - March 10, 2014

Kendall Davis, 24, of the 500 block of East Tabor Road, was arrested following the incident on Friday in North Philadelphia.

Police say Davis struck the unmarked police vehicle at 13th and Market streets at 1:30 p.m.

The lieutenant driving the police vehicle activated his lights and sirens as Davis allegedly fled the scene.

Other officers arrived and tried to stop the striking vehicle, which stopped at 5th and Oxford.

Officers saw David got out of the vehicle and fled into a nearby warehouse yard, but was later caught by police.

Two other passengers in the vehicle were also taken in to custody.

Davis was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Aggravated Assault, Fleeing Police and related offenses.

Investigators said the lieutenant inside the cruiser suffered only minor injuries.
