Woman, boy rescued from Olney house fire

Two people are hospitalized after a house fire in Philadelphia's Olney section Wednesday afternoon.

The fire broke out just after 3:00 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wagner Avenue.

Arriving fire crews were met by heavy fire showing from the second floor of the two story house.

Two people, a 30-year-old woman and her 3-year-old son, were inside the home and had to be rescued.

The victims were then taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation. They are expected to be fine.

The fire was brought under control in less than 20 minutes.

The fire is under investigation.
