3 injured in South Philadelphia house blaze

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - March 14, 2014

The fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. on the 2100 block of South 23rd Street.

Heavy flames were showing from a second floor bedroom when firefighters arrived.

Officials say three people inside the house suffered smoke inhalation.

They were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for evaluation.

The blaze was place under control within a half hour.

So far, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
