Former McCaskey High School teacher Christy Lee Smith was sentenced in 2012 of having sex with two teenage boys between 2008 and 2010 and sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison.
A higher court threw out the conviction and sentence after concluding that she should have had separate trials regarding each student.
The new trial is set to begin on Wednesday.
