Shooting victim tries to ride SEPTA bus to the hospital

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - March 19, 2014

Police say it happened around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, after the man was shot at 57th Street and Washington Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.

The victim, who was shot in the leg, was able to board a SEPTA G bus bound for Lankenau Hospital.

When he told the driver what happened, the driver called police, who then rushed the man to the hospital.

There was no immediate word on his condition.

An investigation is underway.
