Chopper 6 HD was over the scene at 4th and Main Streets in Upland Borough.
PECO says it received a call at 8:08 a.m. that a contractor working in the area had struck an underground line, causing a gas leak.
Repair crews arrived at the scene about 15 minutes later.
They shut off the damaged 2-inch main and began repairs.
PECO said no customers were affected.
There was no immediate word on when the repair work would be complete.
