Police ID 19-year-old man stabbed to death in Bensalem

BENSALEM TWP., Pa. - March 31, 2014

It was around 2:30 a.m. when police officers responded to the 1100 block of Kasmir Avenue in Bensalem Township.

Police arrived to find 19-year-old Jacob Simmers stabbed to death.

Authorities say the suspect, 19-year-old Joseph Romano, was still at the scene when they arrived and was taken into custody without incident.

Romano faces homicide and related charges. He was arraigned and remains in custody with no bail at Bucks County Prison.

The motive for the stabbing has not yet been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
