It happened Saturday on West Levering Mill Road in Bala Cynwyd.
Police say a woman was approached by a stranger in her detached car garage by a stranger. She says she talked with the man, and asked if he needed money and gave him a hundred dollars.
When her husband arrived home, the suspect got an additional 90 dollars from him and the couple's cell phones.
The couple was not hurt during the incident.
