It happened before 8:00 a.m. Monday.
Officers were called to the 7300 block of Rugby Street where they found the victim.
Police say the 25-year-old woman had been shot in the face.
Medics rushed the woman to Einstein Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.
There was no immediate word what led to the shooting. So far there have been no arrests.
An investigation is underway.
