It happened around 7:30 Saturday night at the intersection of 57th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard.
Authorities have only reported that a young person was struck and the driver did not stop at the scene.
The victim was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for non-life threatening injuries. No word on the age or gender of the victim.
Police are working to get a description of the striking vehicle.
