The fire broke out before 2:30 a.m. at North 18th and Ontario Streets.
Firefighters arrived to find flames and heavy smoke coming from the first floor of the produce store.
They were able to place the fire under control without anyone getting hurt.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the blaze.
