The Black Clergy of Philadelphia is asking Mayor Jim Kenney to appoint one person to coordinate the city's gun violence response.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One year after announcing its violence elimination framework, the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity says there is still a long way to go.
Representatives gave that update outside of City Hall in Center City Wednesday.
Members are calling on the city to adopt more of the measures included in their plan, including providing more funding for community organizations.
They are also asking Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney to appoint one person to coordinate the city's gun violence response.
