Dirt and breast milk: That's how a New Zealand woman survived a night alone in the woods, after getting lost during a trail run.
When 29-year-old Susan O'Brien didn't show up at the finish line, search and rescue volunteers, family and friends started searching for her -- but then nightfall came. O'Brien says she covered herself in dirt to keep warm. She's a new mom, breastfeeding her baby so she had some of it with her and drank it.
"I just didn't want to give up. I was determined to get back to my family and that was the only thing that kept me driving. It made me realize in life that nothing else matters but my family," she said.
The next day a helicopter crew spotted O'Brien near a river and she was rescued.
