I-95 North back open after multi-vehicle crash past Vine Street

FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- A multi-vehicle crash slowed traffic on I-95 North past the Vine Street Expressway (I-676) early Wednesday.

Police tell Action News three vehicles collided around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Images from a Sky 6 traffic camera broadcast on Action News showed one car which appeared to have spun sideways and was blocking two lanes.

Multiple police and rescue vehicles were on the scene.

Two people were transported to Hahnemann University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

All lanes of I-95 North were shut down approaching Girard Avenue immediately following the collision, causing an extensive traffic backup.

One lane was getting by the scene about a half-hour later, and all lanes were back open by 7:00 a.m.

There was no word what led to the crash.
