2 injured in Newark pickup truck crash

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Two people are hospitalized after a crash involving a pickup truck and another vehicle in Newark, Delaware.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. Thursday on Kirkwood Highway and Pike Creek Road.

The driver of the pickup truck was trapped briefly.

It took crews approximately 35 minutes to free the driver of the other vehicle.

Both were transported to Christiana Hospital.

The crash caused lane closures in the area.
