NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say they busted a suburban drug ring that sold heroin and cocaine to young clients, including a high school track star.
Tyrig Coleman, Ryan Conquest, Martez Cooper, and Khaleaf Lindsay were arrested. Tyrek Waples remains at large.
Investigators say the suspects were dealing out of hotels in Montgomery and Berks counties.
One client was a varsity runner from a Pottstown area high school. She tried prescription oxycontin at a party, and became addicted. But later turned to heroin when the pills became too expensive.
At a press conference Monday Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele said, "This is the story that we are hearing again, and again, and again. This is the epidemic that we are facing in our communities all across this area, all across Montgomery County, all across the state."
Police credit another drug addict's father with helping their investigation.
Months after his son died from a heroin overdose, he found text messages from dealers on his son's cell phone, and gave it to police.
