6abc Loves the Arts: Philadelphia Assembled

It's called Philadelphia Assembled and it's a collective work that shines a spotlight on marginalized groups with personal stories of resilience, resistance, and community-building from across the city.

The project has been three years in the making and it brings together works from more than 150 collaborators.

From storytellers to artists and activists, the exhibition divides their vision of the city's past, present and future into five atmospheric rooms.

The project was initiated by a Dutch visual artist and curator.

Those conversations birthed a platform for exploratory work, such as Kensington Blues by photographer Jeffrey Stockbridge.

"Framework for an Affordable House" also derived from a south Kensington neighborhood.

Visitors can share stories surrounding immigration and sanctuary-related services in the "Toward Sanctuary Dome" site.

And you can explore the space using pay-what-you-wish admission throughout the duration of the show.

Philadelphia Assembled is on view through December 10th in the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Perelman Building.
