Fire officials say three people jumped from the second floor of a burning home early Tuesday in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Fire officials say three people jumped from the second floor of a burning home early Tuesday in Norristown.

The fire started at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Yerkes Road.

Firefighters arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.

It took them about a half hour to get the upper hand.

The three people who jumped were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

One suffered a shoulder injury. Another was being treated for smoke inhalation.

Fire officials say the blaze damaged at least two homes.

An investigation is underway into the cause.
