Road closed after car gets stuck in Delaware flood waters

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Police in Delaware have shut down Old Airport Road near Interstate 95 in New Castle because of flooding.

The Nonesuch Creek spilled on the road, causing a driver to abandoned their car.

When emergency crews arrived to the scene, the driver had already left the area.

There were no injuries reported.

Authorities say an estimated 2 to 3 feet of water covered the road.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
