Girl Scout receives outpouring of support after cookie money theft

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A local Girl Scout who was robbed of her cookie money is now seeing an outpouring of support from her community.

Anastasia Stamoulis' family says a number of neighbors have offered to donate money or buy more cookies to help the 9-year-old theft victim.

Anastasia was selling her cookies on South 16th Street in Center City when someone stole more than $50 from her on Saturday.

Witnesses tried to chase the man down, but he got away.

Detectives say they are still trying to identify him.
