ATLANTA, Ga. (WPVI) -- Birth rates in America - the number of babies born to women between the ages of 15 and 44 - are on track for 2016 for their lowest level ever.
And the records on this go back to 1909.
The numbers don't mean more infertile women, but women having fewer babies, or none at all.
Preliminary numbers from the CDC show births have declined more than 10 percent since 2007.
But that's not true across the age spectrum.
Birth rates for women between the ages of 15 and 29 are continuing to drop, while more women between ages 30 and 44 are having children.
