The same germ-control practices they use inside hospitals should also be done at the doctor's office - that's the message from the Academy of Pediatrics.
The new guidelines say there should be hand sanitizer in waiting rooms and masks for sick kids to wear as they wait.
It also recommends keeping infants and small toddlers in strollers until they're in exam room and avoid those communal toys in the waiting room.
