BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- Bensalem police say a hit-and-run driver struck three vehicles at three different locations before they managed to arrest the suspect Thursday morning.
It was around 9:30 a.m. when officers were called out to Bensalem Boulevard for the report of an accident.
The striking vehicle took off after the crash. Police pursued the vehicle and then called off the pursuit.
That vehicle then struck another car at the intersection of Street Road and Mechanicsville Road, injuring a woman.
The vehicle then fled down Mechanicsville Road and got into a third accident at Mechanicsville and Byberry roads.
Police say the driver tried to flee the scene on foot but they managed to take her into custody.
The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Sarah Culhane from Princeton, New Jersey.
Culhane was sent to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of injuries she sustained in the accidents and to get blood drawn.
There is no word on the injuries of the woman who she hit at Street and Mechanicsville.
Culhane was charged with Aggravated Assault, Accidents Involving Injury, Resisting Arrest, Red Light Violation, Driving at safe speed and Reckless driving. She was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $750,000.
