CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- An underground transformer explosion left more than 400 customers without power Thursday evening in Center City. One of those customers is the Merriam Theater.
Theater officials say many of the lights are currently out, including emergency and upper-level lights.
As a result of the outages, the theater is only admitting patrons with orchestra-level tickets for Thursday night's performance of "Rain."
Officials say patrons with tickets in the balcony and family circle will be allowed to exchange them for another performance of "Rain" taking place this weekend, inventory permitting.
For more information, you can contact the theater at 215-893-1999.
