One Mets fan got a surprise when he received his free toy truck giveaway.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Could the rivalry between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets be over? According to a couple giveaways, it just might be.

On Sunday, the Mets played the San Francisco Giants at Citi Field.

The promotion of the day was a toy truck presented by W.B. Mason.

All fans were expecting their trucks to have the Mets logo prominently displayed. That would makes sense, of course.

However, that was not the case for at least one fan in attendance, as first reported by sports blog Whiz Wit.

Steven Mitzmacher posted a photo of his truck on Twitter and, as he put it at the time,"something isn't right about today's Mets giveaway."

His truck did not have the New York Mets insignia on it, but the logo of our very own Phillies.

While the Mets gave away trucks to the first 15,000 fans, this is so far the only one discovered with Phillies branding.

It should be noted the truck in the Mets commercial advertising the giveaway did not have any MLB logo on it, Mets or Phillies.

Action News was able to obtain a statement from the vendor of the trucks, Hit Promotional Products Inc.

"Unfortunately this turned out to be a case of human error during the packaging stage of production, and we apologize that a few manufactured units of the incorrectly branded truck were placed in the wrong team packaging. We believe this is a very isolated issue that hadn't occurred in the past but will address to make sure mistakes like this don't occur in the future," a spokesman said.

The Phils had a similar giveaway for their July 26th game vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks.

So far, there is no evidence of any incorrect labeling from that day.

However, during last year's Phillies truck giveaway, it appears there was at least one similar scene.

At that May 30, 2013 game, Phillies fan Eugene Clark posted a photo of his Phillies toy truck.

While the cab of the truck had the Phillies logo on it, the trailer had the Mets logo!

Eugene tweeted us a photo of the truck to prove he still has it a year later.

So it seems the Mets and Phillies are tied 1-1 in toy truck mixups. Let the rivalry continue.
