Police: 1 dead in Vineland drive-by shooting

VINELAND, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in Vineland, New Jersey say an afternoon drive-by shooting left a Millville man dead.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. at Chestnut Avenue and Myrtle Street.

Police have not released the victim's name, but say he was shot at least once while walking alone on Chestnut Avenue.

The victim ran into the backyard of a vacant home where he died.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a four-door black car headed eastbound on Chestnut.
