NEWARK, Del. -- The Delaware State Police says they've arrested a Newark gas station employee after he inappropriately touched a female customer.

The state police says an investigation found the incident happened Friday at about 12:30 a.m. at the Shell station at 1148 Christiana Road.

Troopers say a Pennsylvania woman went into the station's store and attempted to purchase some items but the employee, identified as 30-year-old Fnu Rajasekhar-Kuram of Newark, told her to take them for free.

Troopers say when the woman went to use the store's bathroom Rajasekhar-Kuram used a key to open the door and asked her to expose herself.

The state police says when she refused Rajasekhar-Kuram touched her. The woman was able to get away and call police.

State police did not say whether Rajasekhar-Kuram has a lawyer.
