Man killed in Wilmington's 3rd homicide of the year

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Wilmington police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday.

Police say officers were called to the 700 block of E. 26th Street just after midnight to respond to a report of a person down inside a car.

When the officers arrived they discovered a 20-year-old man unresponsive inside a car, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
