Suspect sought in theft at Juniata Park dollar store

Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect wanted for theft at a dollar store in the city's Juniata Park section.

Philadelphia police are on the hunt for a thief who targeted a dollar store in the city's Juniata Park section.

It happened on January 30 inside the Dollar General Store on the 1200 block of East Erie Avenue.

The suspect was caught on surveillance walking into the store around 11 a.m.

He walked back into the stock room and filled a white plastic bag with various items including candy, deodorant and body spray totaling $300.

The thief then fled the store without paying.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 40 years old with a medium complexion. He was wearing a cream/yellow hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and a black jacket.
