Alleged meth lab busted in Bridesburg

BRIDESBURG (WPVI) -- Two people were arrested after the discovery of an alleged meth lab in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. Thursday along the 4200 block of East Thompson Street.

Police were serving a search warrant at that location when the discovery was made.

The lab has been deemed inactive but, out of an abundance of caution, a staging area was set up.

Several homes were also evacuated and the bomb squad was called in to remove any drug related items.

No injuries were reported.

The identities of those arrested have not been released.
