Man gunned down outside Checkers restaurant in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia homicide detectives are on the case of a murder in Tioga-Nicetown Wednesday night.

The victim was gunned down at 6:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of West Butler Street, across from a Checkers restaurant.

Police say the man in his 20s was shot in the head and back.

They have not released his name or a motive.
