Multi-vehicle accident on Pennsylvania Turnpike causes 10-mile backup

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two people are injured after a multi-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The accident happened around 2:35 p.m. Thursday on the eastbound lanes of the Turnpike in Fort Washington.

The crash involved a box truck and two other vehicles.

One of the vehicles overturned.

The crash closed one eastbound lane approaching the Fort Washington Interchange causing a 10-mile backup.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
