Police investigate home invasion in Newark, Del.

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a home invasion in Newark, Delaware late Monday night.

The incident occurred at the Carrington Way Apartments on the unit block of Kimberton Drive.

New Castle Police responded to the area at 11:30 p.m. Monday after a reported home invasion.

Following a brief search, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police were questioning him to determine exactly what happened.
