Body found in Brandywine River identified

A body found in the Brandywine River has been identified as an English teacher with the Southeast Delaware County School District.

Fifty-year-old Susan Ledyard of Wilmington taught at Academy Park High School since 2006.

Her body was discovered Tuesday morning near the Church Street Bridge.

Investigators have not said how she died or how her body ended up in the river.
