CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Seven students and one adult were taken to the hospital after a minivan sideswiped a school bus in Chester, Delaware County.

It happened around after 7:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Tilghman and West 2nd streets.

Accident investigators say the driver of a blue Nissan Quest was trying to change lanes when that person sideswiped a Chester Charter Schools school bus.

Of the 29 students on the bus at the time, 7 were taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center to be evaluated. All were discharged within several hours.

The driver of the Nissan was also taken to the hospital. There was no immediate word on that person's condition.

The other students were transferred to a different bus and taken to their respective schools.

There was no word what charges, if any, might be filed in the case.
